I want to read and learn all I can, write thoughtfully and truthfully, live according to reason and ever more mature wisdom, and savor every wonderful little gift of life.
I’m getting married this month! And tonight I’m going to a friend’s wedding. Plus, it’s springtime (hooray!!), and I’m seeing lots of “twitterpated” birds and squirrels. Love is in the air!
So I want to celebrate by sharing a few beautiful quotes, gathered from my reading, about love…
“Love, whether newly born, or aroused from a deathlike slumber, must always create a sunshine, filling the heart so full of radiance, that it overflows upon the outward world.” – Nathaniel Hawthorne, The Scarlet Letter
“To love without an echo is the death knell of the soul. Foolishly, the soulless body grows anyway, marches into the future without its nucleus, without its self, bonsaid by this echoless love.” – Susan Richards, Chosen by a Horse
Love in various forms:
“Love, the way I hear it, sometimes flies in and sometimes walks; with this one it runs and with that one it dawdles; it tempers the passions in some; it wounds others; and still others it slays.” – Miguel de Cervantes, Don Quixote
