A Bringer of New Things

I want to read and learn all I can, write thoughtfully and truthfully, live according to reason and ever more mature wisdom, and savor every wonderful little gift of life.

One of the pasture horses who lives on the land we will be building on—yay!!!

Some bits and pieces from my mental inbox this week…

From WordPress

A few blog posts I especially liked this week:

The Life of a Fluro Zebra: A Little Ray of Sunshine

enywulandari’s blog: Loving Him Without Losing Myself

Classicritique: You know you’re an English student when… (Part Four)

From My Reading

I finished The Patron Saint of Ugly by Marie Manilla, and I highly recommend it! Here’s the Amazon page. It’s a truly unique, moving, and enjoyable story!

In My Writing

Posts from my other blogs this week:

My Post-God Life: “Reflecting on Plato’s Cave Allegory”

Working on the memoir (typing up past journal entries) can be kind of trippy. I’m not working on it in order; I’m just working on whichever journals I grab first. When I’m selecting entries and typing them up, I get so pulled back into the respective periods of my life that I quite forget about my present life, and it’s hard to return to it—I have to verbally remind myself where I am, etc. It’s weird! I also get more random flashbacks (not traumatic ones) to various memories from my past than I usually do…and as a result I’m unusually aware of how richly varied has been the scenery of my life!
