A Bringer of New Things

I want to learn all I can, live as wisely as I can, and savor every moment on the journey.

Tulips: A Poem

For once I failed to get a photo of my own view (except a mental photo!). This photo is by Rennett Stowe from USA (Red Tulips Uploaded by russavia) [CC BY 2.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0)], via Wikimedia Commons.

Today my view is one fit for a queen—
scarlet tulips, stretched open to the sun,
where yesterday reigned only muted green—
the earth’s redecorating has begun.

Tomorrow still new dazzlements will grow—
or rain might come and veil Earth’s newborn charms.
But now, the sun illuminates the show,
so I, like the tulips, open my arms.
